I. System Affiliation
The GE Speedtronic Mark V gas turbine control system is a high-reliability electro-hydraulic control (EHC) system used by GE for steam and gas turbine control. Mark VIe and Mark VIeS are its successor independent controller platforms, employing a single-board processor for simplified processes, integrated power supply, and running on the ControlST software suite.
Core Processor: 80486DX CPU
Storage: DRAM expanded via SIMM slot, flash EPROM storage, ROM BIOS and I/O mapping
Power Supply: +5V DC logic power supply
Communication Interface: 2 RS-232 serial ports, ARCNET network
Core Function: Packs field analog and digital I/O data into COREBUS data packets, broadcasting them to the VME processor at a fast scan rate of approximately 100Hz and a slow scan rate below 100Hz, supporting real-time I/O scanning and redundancy switching without downtime.
Hardware Jumpers: JP1 and JP3 are used for factory testing; JP2 is used to select the 486 bus speed.
Software: I/O configuration, FMVED serial download, WATT/VAR pulse input, etc., via TMIA tools.
Application Scenario: GE Speedtronic turbine control system
II. Board Positioning
I/O packaged processor board, which integrates processor functions and I/O interface functions on a single board, belongs to the PC driver board architecture. It features options such as power supply monitoring, dual-channel vibration monitoring, shaft voltage monitoring, and oscillator functionality.
III. Application Scenarios
Industrial automation environments such as gas turbine control, steam turbine control, and combined cycle power plants. This series of boards has been widely used in actual projects such as the Houston suburbs combined cycle power plant for monitoring field signals such as lubricating oil pump status, fire extinguishing contacts, hydrogen seal differential pressure alarms, circuit breaker auxiliary equipment, and float switches.
