ABB full-power converter GBU72 is a high-performance power electronic device designed by ABB for renewable energy (such as wind power, photovoltaic) and industrial applications. It is mainly used to convert direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC) or realize bidirectional power flow (such as energy storage system).

Regular maintenance

Every 6 months: clean the converter housing and heat sink, and check the tightness of the terminal block.

Every year: perform insulation resistance test (DC500V megohmmeter, insulation resistance ≥1MΩ), DC side capacitance test (capacity attenuation ≤20%).

Common fault handling

Unable to start: Check whether the DC side voltage is normal, whether the control power is connected, and whether the emergency stop button is reset.

Overcurrent alarm: Analyze load characteristics, adjust protection settings or check short circuit points (such as motor insulation damage).

Communication interruption: Check IP address configuration, switch port status or fiber attenuation (multimode fiber ≤3dB/km).
